The Importance of Time

Time is very precious and never waits for anyone. Many students waste time playing games or chatting online. Once time passes, it will never come back. We should make good use of every minute. We can make a daily plan to arrange our study and rest. Finish homework on time instead of putting it off. Use spare time to read more books. Cherishing time means cherishing our future. If we value time, we will make greater progress day by day.

Mobile Phones for Teenagers

Nearly every teenager has a mobile phone nowadays. It brings great convenience. We can look up study materials quickly and keep in touch with family easily. However, many teenagers are addicted to online games and short videos. They stay up late with phones, which harms eyesight and lowers school grades. Some waste pocket money on games blindly. We must set strict rules for ourselves. Use phones only for study needs and put them away during classes and bedtime. Reasonable use makes mobile phones serve us well.

A Trip to the Mountain

Last summer vacation, I went to climb a mountain with my parents. Early in the morning, we set off by bus. At the foot of the mountain, I saw green trees and clear streams everywhere. At first, I felt excited and walked fast. But soon I felt tired and wanted to give up. My parents told me to keep moving forward step by step. After two hours’ climbing, we finally reached the top. The whole town looked tiny below us, and the wind felt cool. I took many beautiful photos. This trip taught me that persistence leads to success. I will never give up easily when meeting difficulties later.

Volunteer Activity

Last month, I took part in a volunteer activity in the city park. We picked up rubbish and planted young trees. We also handed out leaflets to tell visitors to protect the environment. Some strangers thanked us warmly. When I worked, I felt great joy inside. Volunteer work teaches us to care for public places and help society. It lets me understand that giving brings more happiness than receiving. I decide to take part in volunteer activities once a month from now on.

Being Honest

Honesty is a valuable quality for everyone. If we tell lies, others will no longer trust us. Last month I broke my mom’s cup. At first I wanted to hide it, but finally I told her the truth. She didn’t get angry and praised me for being honest. Honest people have more true friends. When we make mistakes, admitting them bravely is the right choice. We should keep honest at school and home all the time. Honesty helps us grow into better persons.

My Colorful School Life

My school life is busy but full of fun. We have seven classes every day covering all main subjects. My teachers are strict but caring, and they always offer useful advice when we meet study troubles. After class, we join different school clubs. I take part in the English speech club to practice oral English. We hold sports meetings and art shows every term. My classmates are friendly and helpful. We discuss difficult knowledge and play sports together after class. Every day at school leaves warm memories and helps me grow into a better teenager.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. On this day, the moon is round and bright. Round moon stands for family reunion. All family members will get together and have a big dinner. We usually eat delicious mooncakes on this festival. After dinner, we sit in the yard, watch the moon and chat happily. Parents tell us old stories about the moon. I love this warm festival. It lets us feel the love of family. I enjoy the beautiful moon and sweet time with my family every year.
